Oreo Chocolate Cupcakes

I present to you this lovely jewels. Dark chocolate cupcakes with white chocolate ganache and oreo cookies – this is a dessert which tastes like Heaven for all chocolate lovers 🙂 These Oreo Chocolate Cupcakes are not difficult to made, they are very tasty and also impressive. So they could lay onto the table on any occasion and children simply adore them.

INGREDIENTS Oreo Chocolate Cupcakes

(for about 16 medium cupcakes)

 

► For the cupcakes:

  • 300 g wheat flour
  • 200 g regular sugar
  • 250 ml milk
  • 100 g vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 10 g baking powder
  • 50 g cocoa
  • 100 g dark chocolate, grated
  • 1 teaspoon of orange extract

 

► For the frosting:

  • 200 g white chocolate, chopped
  • 100 ml heavy cream
  • 100 g butter
  • 2-3 drops vanilla extract
  • mini oreos

DIRECTIONS Oreo Chocolate Cupcakes 

 

►Preparing the cupcakes:

Sift together the flour, cocoa and baking soda. Beat eggs and sugar until creamy, add oil, milk and flavor and mix well. Then add the flour mixture and homogenize. Finally fold in the chocolate. Fill the muffin cases ¾ full and bake in the middle of the oven for 20 minutes. When baked, leave to cool on a wire rack.

 

►Preparing the frosting:

Bring heavy cream to a simmer. Pour over the chopped chocolate and let them sit for a few minutes (until chocolate has softened). Then start to stir until the chocolate melts and the mixture becames creamy and homogenous. Put the cream into the fridge for several hours. When it cooled and thickened, put the cream into a mixer bowl and mix for 1-2 minutes, until it gets ligher and silky. Add the flavor and the butter and mix for another minute, until smooth.

 

► Assembling: Cover the cupcakes with frosting (I used a Wilton 2D star tip) and garnish with mini Oreo Cookies.
